Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Mahakal Lok in Ujjain on Tuesday.
In ‘Mahakal Lok’, a huge ‘Shivaling’ covered with ‘Moli’ is kept under the Nandi Door.
It is one of the largest such corridors ever built in India.

Ujjain. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Rs 856-crore Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor Development Project in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain on Tuesday. The project is expected to boost tourism in this pilgrimage city of Madhya Pradesh. The corridor offers a glimpse of Sanatana Dharma, where 76 large idols of 9 to 18 feet and about 110 smaller idols are installed.

Sources said on Monday that a big ‘Shivling’ wrapped in ‘Moli’ has been kept under the Nandi door of Mahakal Lok. According to the plan, the Prime Minister will officially unveil the ‘Shivling’ to mark the inauguration of this major corridor.

One of the largest corridors in India
The over 900 meter long corridor ‘Mahakal Lok’ built in Ujjain is one of the largest corridors ever built in India. It will have two grand entrances, a magnificent pillar of 108 decorative pillars, made of intricately carved sandstone, fountains and a series of over 50 murals depicting stories from the Shiva Puranas. Mahakal will be the jewel of the people.

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Bhupinder Singh had earlier said that Prime Minister Modi will reach Ujjain on October 11 around 5.30 pm. PM Modi’s helicopter will land at the helipad located in Police Lines Complex here.

PM Modi will offer pooja at Mahakaleshwar temple.
A senior official of Ujjain Smart City Limited, which is implementing the project, said, “Elaborate arrangements have been made to inaugurate the Mahakal Lok, which the Prime Minister will dedicate to the public. After reaching Ujjain, he will visit the temple. will visit the premises and offer pooja at the Mahakaleshwar temple.After that, Modi will visit ‘Nandi Dwar’ and inaugurate the corridor.

When PM Modi passes through the corridor, a large number of artistes will perform on the route. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the preparations on Sunday evening. Later at the Kartik Mela ground, renowned singer Kailash Kher will sing a special song ‘Jayshree Mahakal’ a ‘Shiva Stoati’ dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Ashish Kumar Pathak, CEO of Ujjain Smart City said that after the opening of the corridor, the enthusiasm of the people will increase manifold and the number of tourists will increase tremendously.
