In late September, the Ministry of Human Resources and the Emirates (MoHRE) announced this. 8 October 2022 will be a public holiday. On the occasion of the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
On October 7, the authorities confirmed. Khaleej Times Parking will be free in Dubai on this day. As with other free parking announcements, this does not apply to multi-level terminals.
Last year, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) also revised the timings of public buses, metro, trams and marine transport. At the moment though, no official announcement has been made but if you are using public transport over the weekend, make sure you double-check the timings to avoid any delays.
Timings of Service Provider Centers (Technical Testing Centers) and Customer Happiness Centers are also subject to change, so call before driving.

Free parking confirmation in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah
Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Center has also confirmed this. No charges for parking and garage tolls. On October 8. And since Sundays are free for both tolls and parking anyway – that means you get free motoring all weekend (except for the veteran petrol, although that’s kind Price drop at the beginning of the month).
It will be free from the morning of Saturday 8 October to 7.59 am on Monday 10 October 2020. In the capital, public transport — bus routes, and ferries — will run on their usual schedule, which you can maintain. Use by date darb.ae Website or App.
Free parking was also announced in Sharjah. This does not include the 7-day paid parking zones (marked with blue signs), so if you’re making your way to spend the day in Sharjah, keep that in mind.
