There are reports of ED raids in many places including Durg, Bhilai, Raipur.
Central investigative agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a major drive against corruption. According to ED sources, search operations are underway at around 38 locations in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. IT raids have also been conducted on the houses of police officers. There is talk in political circles that the officers who have been raided here are close to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
These IAS officers are also on the radar of ED, search operation is on at the location of many other accused related to them. Those IAS officers who are on ED’s radar,Their names are mainly as follows-
1. Sameer Bishnoi – IAS Officer
2. Raigarh Collector – Rano Sahu
3. JP Maurya – IAS officer and husband of Rano Sahu
ED raids on houses of some IAS officers working in Madhya Pradesh- Chhattisgarh / many businessmen involved in illegal mining and their associates.
Raipur ASP Abhishek Maheshwari, IAS Samir Bishnoi, Collector, CMO Secretary, Mining Officers, MLAs, coal traders have raided their houses. Raigad Collector Rano Sahu, CMO Secretary Soumya Chaurasia, Head of Mining Department JP Maurya, MLA Agni Chandrakar, coal merchant Congress leader Surya Kant Tiwari have been raided. This raid has been going on since 6 am. Earlier, IT and ED also raided the house of CMO Deputy Secretary Soumya Chaurasia and businessman Surya Kant Tiwari.
More than a dozen officers of the ED team are involved in the raid. Raigad’s Ganja Chowk resident Navneet Tiwari’s house has also been raided. There are reports of ED raids in many places including Durg, Bhilai, Raipur.
