Kanpur. A polyclinic has been started in Kanpur University on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The polyclinic, named Arugam, will be run by Kanpur University’s School of Health Sciences. In this polyclinic, expert doctors of the city will give medical advice to the people. The special thing is that this polyclinic is absolutely free and anyone can avail it. Even the prescription will be free of charge. Generally, the prescription fee in government hospitals is kept at 1 to 10 rupees.
According to Dr Digvijay Sharma, HOD, School of Health Sciences, Kanpur University, the Arugam has started on October 2, the day of Gandhi Jayanti. It will be treated with all methods of Ayurveda, Yoga and Homeopathy along with modern medicine. It is seen that some people are more towards Ayurvedic and Homeopathic so they will also get Ayurvedic and Homeopathic treatment through this clinic. On Sunday, a team of 14 doctors attended to the patients at this polyclinic. Free medicines were also provided to the patients.

Orthopedist Dr. AS Prasad, Ophthalmologist Sr. Dr. Oudh Dubey Sr., Ayurvedic Sr. Dr. Nirankar Goyal, Ayurvedacharya Sr. Dr. Vandana Pathak, Gynecologist Dr. Sangeeta Saraswat, Pediatrician Dr. Sahni Shetty, Homeopathic Sr. Dr. Pandey Dr. Doctors including psychiatrist Dr. Priyanka Shukla will provide medical advice and counseling to people.
