Shardul Thakur was seen attending the pre-match press conference and was asked how the atmosphere in the team is after Deepak Chahar’s injury. “Despite the fantastic injuries, the mood in the team, it’s part and parcel of the game. We’ve been playing together for a lot of years. We’re comfortable with each other. Injuries are part and parcel of the game. Somebody’s going to get hurt. And nobody has time. We don’t need to take it to heart. There’s a lot of cricket to come.” Thakur said.


Big chance for Shikhar Dhawan
The left-handed batsman will not get a better chance to make his case for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. They have a good record against South Africa and most importantly, they know how to play the waiting game. Regardless of the pitch, the batsman can be lethal.


South Africa, on the other hand, should be prepared for a counter-punch to the Man in Blue. There are chances that they can be very aggressive to score quickly in the power play overs. It will be quite interesting to watch the competition between Indian batsmen and South African bowlers. South Africa’s style in the first ODI was quite disciplined.
