Ranchi Under the leadership of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the state has achieved many achievements in the direction of continuous development. In this regard, on Saturday, 01 October 2022, the effective leadership of the Chief Minister was conferred with a great honor by the Government of India. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri honored Jharkhand as the country’s second topper among 100 urban institutions in the Swachh Survey 2022 in the presence of the country’s President Draupadi Murmu at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. On this occasion, Amit Kumar, Director, State Urban Development Agency under the Department of Urban Development and Housing received the honor from the state government.

In Swachh Survey 2022, Jharkhand has been awarded the second topper award along with some other cities in various categories which are as follows. Chai Basa has been awarded for Best Citizen Feedback in Eastern Zone Municipal Bodies with population of 50000 to 100000. Bindu has been awarded for Best Citizen Feedback in Eastern Zone Municipal Bodies with population of 15,000 to 25,000. Here the cities of Jharkhand were also honored in the Indian Sanitation League. Three municipal bodies of Jharkhand have also been felicitated in the Indian Cleanliness League organized by the Center on September 17, 2022 in cities across the country. On Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Talkatora Stadium itself, Jamshedpur Notified Area, Jharkhand’s Am and Madi Nagar were felicitated by the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri for their outstanding performance in the Indian Clean Lens League. Nawaz. Deputy Commissioners of Jamshedpur and Palamu were present on the occasion.

It is worth mentioning that Jharkhand’s position in Swachh Survey 2016 was not very commendable, but with the guidance of the people of the state and the support of E, it has continuously improved in Swachh Survey 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. From civic bodies and state government, the state has achieved achievements in the field of sanitation, I have received several awards.
