New Delhi. After four months of marriage, actress Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan welcomed their twin sons on Sunday. What are the laws of surrogacy?
Surrogacy is illegal in India from January 2022 except in cases where the medical condition is such that the couple can never become natural parents. Now, during a press meet in Chennai on Monday, a journalist asked Ma Subramaniam whether a couple who got married 4 months ago can become parents through surrogacy or is there any time limit? According to media reports, the minister replied that the Directorate of Medical Services would be directed to conduct an inquiry and seek an explanation.
