Report – Aditya Kumar
Noida. Metro is going to launch a new route very soon to get people out of the jam. NMRC (Noida Metro Rail Corporation) is going to run metro on this new route from Botanical Garden to Greater Noida West very soon. Planning is being done in this regard. The route is almost set. If the UP government and Noida Metro Rail Corporation are going to provide this facility, some people are very happy with the facility, but the problem is that the people of Sector 137 have created a new demand. Let me tell you what it’s all about.
People of Sector 137 have written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath requesting a new station. Speaking to News18 Local, Floraville resident Shobhi Jain said, ‘When we working women go to the office in the morning, a 15-minute journey turns into an hour. In such a situation, we demand that a metro station should be built in our sector 137 as well so that we can directly go to Botanical to go to Delhi.
In fact, from the metro station that is there now, the metro first goes to Sector 51. That means Delhi can be reached at such a time. Women say that many such incidents have taken place, which has raised concerns regarding the safety of women. These women have written a letter from MD NMRC to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
No public transport even for a large population!
Kasam Gupta, a local resident, says that around 70,000 people live in this sector. Although there is no public transport in the whole of Noida, but since Noida is a little far from here, people miss the public transport. Metro connectivity is essential here. At the same time, Manoj Prasad says that we are not even invited to the meeting. Like we are not citizens. In fact, there are some societies that are not part of any group or institution. He says that the people here have written several times to the CM, MLA and authorities in this regard, but have not received any assurance.
