Chandigarh Punjab Police on Tuesday said it has arrested three persons who allegedly helped gangster Deepak Tinu escape. Tino recently escaped from police custody in Mansa. Police said that a car with Punjab registration number, which was used in the crime, was also recovered from them. Tinu is an accused in singer Sidhu Musawala’s murder case, but he escaped from the custody of the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Mansa police on the intervening night of October 1-2.

The persons arrested in this case have been identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Kohli, Rajveer Singh alias Kajma and Rajinder Singh alias Gaura and all of them are residents of Ludhiana. Punjab Police says that Kuldeep Kohli is the owner of a gymnasium under the guise of which he used to deal in drugs. Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said in a statement that the three accused are close associates of Tinu and helped him escape from police custody.
