Ingredients of Punjabi Mutton Curry

500 grams of mutton
200 grams of yogurt
200 grams of onion
100 grams of tomatoes
50 grams ghee or oil
2 tbsp coriander powder
2 tbsp garlic paste
2 tsp ginger paste
2 teaspoons salt (to taste)
2 tsp red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric
5 green cardamoms
8 black pepper
1 cinnamon stick
Coriander 100 grams
4 whole cloves

Easy Punjabi Mutton Curry Recipe

1. First of all, cut onion, tomato and keep it. Then prepare ginger and garlic paste. Now wash the mutton well and cut it into small pieces and keep it in a pot.
2. Now put a big pan on gas and heat it by adding little ghee. Then add cardamom, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon. Fry them for few minutes and add chopped onion. Saute the onion until light brown.
3. After that add ginger paste and garlic paste and cook the mixture well. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder to the fried onion and mix well.
4. Now add mashed tomatoes and mix well with other ingredients. Cook this mixture in a pan till the oil separates from the spices.

5. Add the mutton pieces to this mixture and mix well. After a while add curd and mix. Then cook for about 10 minutes. After that add water and cook well.
6. Add coriander and garam masala to it. Now let it cook for 25 minutes. When the mutton is fully cooked and tender, cover it and switch off the gas.
7. Now take it off the flame and take the dish out in a bowl. It can be served with hot rice or naan.
