Education was done here from first class to intermediate. For years this college was run by the East Central Railway but later the railway authorities decided to close it down. This enraged the nearby villagers and protested democratically demanding the reopening of the college.
Local rural retired teacher Mukeshwar Prasad Verma said that in the year 2018, the railway authorities in their inspection found that they were not getting any benefit from this college. Children of railway officials do not study in this college. After that, the process of closing this inter-college was started. This process was initiated in 2018. Admissions in class 1st to 8th were closed. The school was later closed completely on 31 March 2022, with other classes closed. This inter-college was started in 1961.

The closure of the inter-college angered the people of the nearby villages. He began to worry about where his children would go to study now. People started the initiative to start closed inter-college. For this the villagers formed the Samaj Seva Sangharash Samiti, Gadhra. Local educationists and intellectuals raised their voice under the banner of Sanghrish Samiti. The villagers’ campaign was later supported by Ram Ratan Singh, former MLA of Tigra, Begusarai. Member of Parliament Joint Union Minister Giriraj Singh also received support. Now the struggle of the villagers was successful. According to the information, the admission of students in this school will resume from April 1, 2023.
Students of 10 villages are being deprived of education.
Local villagers Pramod Singh, Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Rajeev Ranjan Kumar, Mukesh Singh alias Bablu, Nitish Kumar and others said that due to the closure of the college, the students of 10 villages located at a distance of 8 to 10 km from the vicinity are deprived of education. have gone Many children also missed their educational sessions. Ex-retired teacher Mukeshwar Prasad Verma said that after the resumption of this college, especially the daughters who had given up their studies will now be able to study.
