Car sales in India during Navratri 2022 are huge.
A total of 5,39,227 units were sold during Navratri.
Whereas 3,42,459 units were sold during this period last year.

New Delhi. Retail sales of vehicles rose 57 percent to a record 5.4 lakh units during the Navratri festival in the country this year. Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) gave this information on Monday.

The total number of vehicle retail sales between September 26 and October 5 reached 5,39,277 units, FADA said in a statement. Last year, 3,42,459 vehicles were sold during Navratri. It is said that this year’s sales spree was even better than the previous year’s sales of 4,66,128 units in 2019.

FADA President Manish Raj Singhania said this year’s Navratri sale shows that customers have returned to the showrooms after a gap of three years. According to FADA data, retail sales of two-wheelers increased by 52.35 per cent to 3,69,020 units during Navratri this year. It was 2,42,213 units in the same period last year and is 3.7 percent higher than the same period in the pre-Covid period of 2019.

He further said that the increase in vehicle sales will continue till Diwali. Because after corona people are showing more interest in buying these vehicles and dealers also have good opportunity and can clear their stock based on good sales.

A total of 5,39,227 units were sold during Navratri as compared to 3,42,459 units sold during the same period last year. A total of 3,69,020 two-wheelers were sold in Navratri this year, while 2,42,213 vehicles were sold in Navratri 2021. A slightly higher 1,10,500 passenger vehicles were sold this time compared to 64,850 in Navratri 2021.
