Shibman Gul’s century innings helped defending champions Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians (GT vs MI) by 62 runs in Qualifier 2 on the back of Mohit Sharma’s lethal bowling to reach the final of IPL 2023. Is. Gujarat has reached the final for the second time in a row. Gujarat will face Chennai Super Kings in the final on Sunday (May 28). The title match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Chasing a target of 234 runs, Mumbai Indians were bowled out for 171 runs in 18.2 overs despite Surya Kumar Yadav’s half-century. Surya played an innings of 61 runs in 38 balls. Tilak Verma got out after scoring 43 runs while Cameron Green scored 30 runs. Veteran fast bowler Mohit Sharma took the most 5 wickets for Gujarat. Mumbai did not start well and wickets kept falling at intervals. As a result, Mumbai faced defeat at home to Gujarat in a do-or-die match.
