New Delhi. Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has come forward in the good cause of helping flood victims in Pakistan. For this he is going to auction the blazer and tie of his first tour of England. Through this he will raise funds for the flood victims.
Shoaib Akhtar tweeted that I am offering a very valuable item of mine for auction in London tonight for flood relief work in Pakistan. Blazer and tie from his first tour of England for Pakistan ‘A’ in 1997. See you tonight at 7pm at the Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, London!”

Akhtar will be auctioning off his blazer and tie at the Royal National Hotel in London today. Blazers and ties are one of his prized possessions. Akhtar wore the blazer for the first time in 1997 on the first tour of his career. Akhtar was then part of the Pakistan A team playing against England.

Earlier, PCB had donated a part of its gateway money for flood relief. Young bowler Naseem Shah has auctioned his six-hitting bat to raise funds for the Asia Cup. Pakistan Cricket also wore a special jersey in the first T20 match against England to show solidarity with the flood victims. Babar Azam and Co. wore a black armband along with their special jersey.
