It is being told that at present the monsoon has stopped near Nankuri Island, 500 km from Port Blair. On this basis, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the monsoon may hit the Kerala coast by June 8. Considering this situation, it is estimated that monsoon in Bihar will start on June 13 or 14.

According to the Meteorological Department, this time the monsoon will arrive across the country with a delay of 7 days. However, for now, the possibility of pre-monsoon rains will remain. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the entire Bihar for Friday. A warning has been issued for thunderstorms and thunderstorms. The alert is for the next 24 hours and the weather is expected to return to normal from Saturday morning. A drop of 2 to 3 degrees in maximum temperature can be recorded.

Explain that the monsoon current divides into two parts as soon as it reaches the sea border of India. A strengthening branch of the monsoon current from the Arabian Sea brings rain to Maharashtra and other parts of the country. On the other hand, due to the thrust of the Bay of Bengal branch, nearby states including Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh are receiving good rainfall.

In the ecoregion of the Indian region, a distinct line forms during the monsoon season from Sriganganagar in Rajasthan to western and eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. These monsoon rains occur only around this monsoon trough line. It keeps moving and sometimes it goes towards Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and sometimes Bihar Jharkhand.

According to meteorologists, the rainfall activity is more on the side where the monsoon flow is strong. In July and August, its position is maintained in the Terai region of Nepal. This is the reason that rain activity is more in Bihar in July and August.

Monsoon reaches Bihar via Purnia and its standard date is 13 June. Under normal conditions there may be a delay of three to five days or even earlier and it spreads across the state in the same number of days. This time too, monsoon is likely to enter Bihar between June 13 and 14.
