On Sunday, October 9, Dubai Municipality announced that renovations to Dubai’s public beaches will be completed in December this year – just in time for cooler weather.

The beaches have seen a number of upgrades including the sand cover of Al Mamzar Corniche, Jumeirah 1 and Jumeirah 3. According to Dubai Municipality, the addition of sand will help protect beaches from high tides.

The public beach in Umm Suqeem 3 will also be extended.

Why upgrade?
